A friend of mine has the most amazing hollyhock hedge. It is about twenty-five feet long and eight feet across. To stand amongst these beautiful flowers each summer and photograph them is a real treat! The flowers along the outside edges are often bent in a horizontal position, so I decided to paint them just the way I saw them.
