I have been painting in watercolor since 1977 but it wasn't until our children were grown that I had the time to completely devote myself to my art. Still life's and floral's are my favorite subjects but I enjoy painting portraits and animals as well.

When I first started to paint my paintings were very opaque. I have evolved into a purely transparent watercolor artist by teaching myself how to glaze layers of color to produce luminous colorful paintings. I also teach watercolor and enjoy teaching these techniques to my students.

I have been published in Betty Lou Schlemm's book "Watercolor Expressions" and Karlyn Holman's Books "Watercolor Fun & Free" and "Searching for the Artist Within."
